| IDC study uses results from the IDC Asia/Pacific Communications Survey, 2007 to identify trends in the corporate data and Internet access service uptake, network expenditures, and outsourcing by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Philippines. It also examines the budgets and SP preferences of companies in this segment.
According to Karen V. Rondon, research manager, Communications Research, IDC Philippines, "SMEs are relatively low-maintenance customers in the sense that they are willing to compromise soft factors such as quality and reliability of service and brand image but put high importance on cost, flexibility, and geographical coverage in their purchasing and vendor/SP selection decision making.
