As we move into the second half
of a very difficult 2009, many CIO's in Asia/Pacific
are still battling with budget constraints, trying
to align with volatile business requirements while
at the same time having to manage risk and comply
with regulations. In parallel, plans need to be
made for 2010 in the context of an uncertain economic
enviroment. Business Analytics has been one of
the key technology areas to move onto the radar
to address some of these challenges in the forthcoming
year. However, the legacy of low adoption rates,
shelf-ware, and failed DW projects persist. Despite
this, both IT and Line of Business executives
have seen the beginnings of real value derived
from some of these projects - particularly from
the office of the CFO, where performance management
solutions are starting to deliver tangible benifits
in terms of operational efficiency. This presentation
will look at the new market realities, what these
mean for the CIO and LoB executives and how the
new information revolution will enable more progressive
organizations to 'compete on analytics' in the
new economy. |
